Principal - Deborah Battams
Deborah has been working at Little Tewkes since 1995. She started as a nursery nurse and worked her way up “the ladder” and eventually took over the nursery in 2000 from Amelia Blackwell. Deborah has training in sign language, makaton, first aid, food hygiene, child protection certificate, special education needs certificate, business success for child care, and she is an in house assessor and is a registered member of Ofsted and also has a national   diploma   in pre-school early years. Deborah lives on Canvey Island and is a mother of 2.

Room Manager & SENCO – Theresa Jones
Theresa has a diploma in pre-school early years, child protection certificate, food hygiene, first aid. Theresa is the in house SENCO, which stands for Special Education Needs Coordinator. Theresa has worked at Little Tewkes for 7 years; she lives on Canvey Island and has three boys that attend the local schools.

Room Manager - Georgina Fuller
Georgina has worked at little Tewkes for 7 years, working her way up from a nursery assistant to room manager. She has previously worked at other nurseries. Georgina has food hygiene, first aid, child protection certificate, diploma in pre-school early years.

Room Manager - Jackie Davies
Jackie has been at the nursery for 6 months coming straight in as room manager and has worked within childcare for 8 years. She has 2 children of her own, lives in Pitsea and previously worked with the Rainbow/Brownie guides. Jackie also holds a diploma in early years, makaton and first aid.

Deputy Manager - Michelle Pomfrey
Michelle has a diploma in early years and has worked at the nursery for 8 years. She lives on Canvey Island with her 2 children. Michelle started off as nursery assistant then worked her way up to room manager and now deputy manager.

Staff Manager - Ruth Peters
Ruth has a diploma in pre-school early years, food hygiene, first aid, child protection certificate. Ruth has been working at Little Tewkes Nursery for 10 years starting off as a nursery assistant and worked her way up to become a staff manager. Ruth has previously worked in primary schools on Canvey Island. Ruth has 4 children.
